  • William Beato M.H.S. 1957 – Community Service & Business Leadership

    For outstanding achievement as a community business leader and for exemplary service to the community. (President, Massapequa Fuel Oil, Chief, Massapequa Fire Department, Recipient, Kiwanis Kaiser Award for Extraordinary Service, Knights of Columbus, and numerous community and regional service organizations.

     

     

  • Donald Olesen M.H.S. 1960

    For outstanding achievement in corporate business administration (President of National Sales Marketing Allied Digital, manufacturer of audio/video cassettes, CD’s, CD ROM’s) and for exemplary service to the community (Exec. Committee T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and Aids Research, Parker Alzheimer Center, other community service organizations.

     

     

  • Donald Spruck B.H.S. 1965

    For outstanding achievement in Family and Forensic Dentistry (Local family practice, Member, Suffolk County Forensic Dentistry Association unit that assisted Suffolk County Medical Examiner in identification of TWA Flight 800 victims) and for exemplary service to community (church elder, B. of Ed. Citizens Advisory Committee, Community Youth Organizations).   2005 Update: Community Service: Forensic Dentist for Nassau County Medical Examiners Office; Massapequa Board of Education Advisory Committee for HIV-AIDS Awarness.                                                                                                                                           

     

  • Dr. Denis Tyras M.H.S. 1960 Cardiac Surgeon

    For outstanding achievement as a Cardiac Surgeon noted for research in myocardial preservation and his skilled performance with exceptional survival recovery rates. (Chief of Cardiac Surgery, St Vincents Hospital of Manhattan, NY, Service at Long Island Jewish Medical Center) and for exemplary community service at clinics providing free surgical services for the needy.

     

     

  • Lynn Tepper B.H.S. 1970

    For outstanding achievement as an Attorney and Jurist (Private practice, Public Defender, County Court Judge, and currently Circuit Judge/ South Judicial Circuit in Dade City Florida) and for exemplary service to the community and children. (Literary Volunteers of America Distinguished Service Award, Author and Speaker for Creative Juvenile Justice, Advocate for foster children on radio and national TV)

     

     

  • Robert Weinhauer M.H.S. 1957

    For outstanding achievement as a teacher, NBA coach & administrator, Television analyst of basketball ( Massapequa High School, University of Pennsylvania, Arizona State, The Philadelphia 76, The Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timber Wolves, Director of Player Personnel for the World Champion Houston Rockets and General Manager of the Milwaukee Bucks ) and for exemplary community service for community youth organizations in various cities.    Elected to Cortland State Hall of Fame & “Big 5 “ Hall of Fame, 2002
